I can't deal with any more craziness from that direction right now. It wouldn't be fair to those to whom I've committed myself within the Anonymous movement and Project PM, not to mention my gf, who has already been subject to attacks by people at McCain's blog just three weeks into our relationship. I can't be getting involved in things like this because truth, fairness, and nuance are not considerations in this culture that has developed among this particular end of the blogosphere; anyone will say anything about me for some perceived partisan advantage or even just in pursuit of whatever emotional triumph these people feel from typing out nonsense on their keyboards. Just in the last day I've had a commenter allege that I'm using sockpuppets, obviously without proof - and he is one of the more reasonable ones, and this is after several weeks of fighting off a stream of libel from people who really just don't give a shit about anything. I've recruited everyone from this little community who's serious about doing something good for those who deserve liberty and the rest are probably not worth taking too. Meanwhile I have a film treatment due, columns, press releases, a book to get finalized, etc, and I just can't take the distractions. But I've enjoyed hanging out with you guys and meeting the interesting gang you've established over there and will keep in touch.
